Dogo Argentinos: Breed specifications

Country of Origin:: Argentina
Size:: 24-27 inches
Coat:: Thick white coat. Average shedder.
Character:: Excellent home safety. Loyeal to family. Good with children. Playful and highly intelligent.
Temperament:: Can be agressive with other dogs, though is not usually one to provoke confrontation. Good with household pets if raised with from puppyhood. Should be socialized early.
Care:: Easy to groom. Nails tend to grow fast. Needs frequent clipping.
Training:: Due to high intelligence, easy to train. Requires firm, loving hand. Important to obedience train.
Activity:: Will do okay in apartment if sufficiently exercised but does best in average size yard. Should be inside if temps drop below freezing.
